Last week, Mindergy had the privilege of participating in the Swedish dental nurses association conference (Svenska Tandsköterskeförbundets Yrkeskonferens) in Gothenburg.

The conference gathers dental professionals from across Sweden to explore new techniques, tools, and innovations in dentistry. For us, it was an important opportunity to demonstrate how virtual reality in dental care can transform patient experiences.

Growing Interest in VR for Dental Anxiety

We saw strong interest in VR for dental anxiety, distraction therapy during injections, tools for treating children and anxious patients and also of course, staff well-being and micro-recovery solutions. Many dental nurses emphasized the need for practical tools that reduce stress, both for patients and for the clinical team.

Why VR in Dentistry Is Gaining Momentum

Dental anxiety affects a significant portion of the population. Clinics are increasingly looking for non-pharmacological anxiety management tools, patient-centered technology and modern solutions that improve patient satisfaction.

Virtual reality distraction therapy is no longer experimental, it’s becoming a practical and accessible solution in modern dental practices. We are grateful for all the meaningful conversations and look forward to helping more clinics integrate VR into their daily workflows.
