Philippe Goldin is a professor at the University of California, Davis, and leads the Clinically
Applied Affective Neuroscience Laboratory. His group is currently engaged in a) basic
research on the brain networks that distinguish different types of emotion regulation
strategies, b) clinical research on the neural bases of psychopathology, and c) clinical
intervention research that examines the brain and behavioral mechanisms of therapeutic
change during cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and
compassion cultivation training in adults with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain
disorders.
