Region Skåne

Region Skåne is the public healthcare authority responsible for healthcare services across southern Sweden. In collaboration with Mindergy, VR-based distraction therapy has been implemented at selected facilities, including the Children’s Cancer Center in Lund and the Child and Youth Medical Clinic in Malmö.

Mindergy’s VR experiences are used to support children facing anxiety, fear, and stress related to medical visits and procedures. Clinical observations and patient stories indicate that VR has significantly improved the care experience, helping children remain calm and, in some cases, reducing the need for sedative medication previously required.

This collaboration demonstrates the powerful role of VR in pediatric healthcare, offering a non-pharmacological, patient-friendly tool that improves outcomes for both children and healthcare professionals.
